ADVANCED SAFETY PROTOCOL DENTISTRY – ASSONET, MA

Steps We’re Taking to Make Every Visit Safe

At Woodside Dental Care, the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. We are excited to be able to see you smile, and we have put in place advanced protocols to make your visit safe. Please see below for a quick introduction to these steps, and do not hesitate to give us a call with any questions or concerns.

Daily Health Checks of Our Team

No contact temperature checks and a quick set of questions will ensure our team is ready, willing and able to provide safe dental care – every day.

Personal Hygiene Standards

Along with short hair or hair that is worn up; this means no long fingernails, no jewelry, and no watches for any team member while in the office.

Change Work Clothes at Work

In the past, you might have seen us at the grocery store in our stylish scrubs. No longer. Now, we change into and out of our newly-cleaned scrubs at the office, every day.

Anti-Microbial Rinse

In addition to brushing and flossing before your visit, we will provide an Oracare solution to rinse in your mouth for 60 seconds and reduce bacteria.

Virtual Waiting Room

Now, you can check-in from your car. As a result, you are able to minimize contact with others, bypass the reception area, and go directly to your treatment room.

Pre-Screening of Every Patient

A quick health questionnaire and consent form along with a no-touch temperature check will be completed when you arrive at our office.

Expanded Patient Appointments

In an effort to save you time and multiple exposures, we are offering extended appointments. This allows us to do more dentistry in a single visit.

Teledentistry

Some consultations and follow-up visits can be handled via our secure, patient communication portal. It is a cool, ultra-safe, and efficient extension of our office.

Social Distancing in Place

Fewer chairs in our reception area, helpful signs and one-way traffic in our treatment area make 6’ spacing a practical reality.

Cleaning After Every Appointment

We are super clean as we thoroughly wipe, sanitize, and disinfect all instruments, equipment and surfaces in each operatory after every patient.

Deep Cleaning Every Evening

Along with cleaning and sanitizing during the day, we take things to another level at night with a thorough top-to-bottom scrub down.

CDC-Approved Instrument Sterilization

This is standard procedure at all times, and nothing has changed. Anything that goes near your mouth is heat and pressure cleaned between every use.

N95 & ASTM Level 3 Masks

The beautiful smiles of our clinical team – dentists, hygienists, and assistants – will be protected behind double-masking at all times.

Front Desk Masks

Even our friendly administrative team will be wearing ASTM Level 3 masks. Don’t worry. They are smiling behind those masks!

Face Shields

Two masks are not enough. Our clinical team will also protect you and themselves through the use of FDA Approved PET face shields.

HEPA Air Filtration

Our air has never been cleaner. We have added HEPA-grade filters to our HVAC system along with stand-alone air cleaners in each operatory.

No Magazines or Activities

This may make our reception area a little less exciting, but it makes it much safer as well.

May 18, 2020 COVID-19 Update

Dear valued patients,

Today, Governor Baker announced the results of the Reopening Advisory Board’s report regarding the phased reopening of the state. The first phase, which is currently expected to begin Monday, May 25, includes an increase in allowable dental procedures. If you have any dental concerns at all, please call our office at (508) 644-5200 to discuss how we can help you. Alternatively, I can be reached on my personal line at (508) 644-0699.

The Reopening Advisory Board’s report does not include routine dental cleanings, which may resume not earlier than June 8th at the beginning of “Phase II”. Of course, moving on to each subsequent phase of reopening is contingent upon the state meeting certain established benchmarks, and so the start of Phase II could possibly be delayed. We are working on rescheduling our patients for their cleanings but encourage you to reach out to us sooner if you have any questions or concerns.

We anticipate a heightened demand for services upon our full reopening and have increased capacity in order to accommodate our patients' needs in a timely manner.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.

I look forward to seeing you all when we return to work in our usual capacity the week of June 8th. Until then, remain safe and healthy.

Warmest regards,

Derek Cornetta, DDS

4/26/20 Another important COVID-19 Update

As Massachusetts continues to move through what is believed to be the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) Executive Committee and Board of Trustees met to discuss its COVID-19 guidance for dentists practicing in the Commonwealth. Taking into consideration guidance from the CDC, ADA, Massachusetts DPH, and Governor Baker's administration, the MDS recommends that dental offices in the Commonwealth remain closed to patients seeking elective and non-urgent care through May 18. Woodside Dental Care will adhere to this updated recommendation and continue to limit the practice to emergency care only until then.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.

I look forward to seeing you all when we return to work in our usual capacity the week of May 18th.

Until then, remain safe and healthy.

Warmest regards,

Derek Cornetta, DDS

3/31/20

Dear Valued Patients,

A lot has happened in the past two weeks. I hope you and your families remain well during these crazy times. Due to the latest developments with COVID-19, and per recommendations from the Massachusetts Dental Society and federal governments, I feel it is in everyone’s best interest to continue to postpone any elective/non-urgent care through the end of April. As previously stated, the safety and health of our employees, patients, and the general public are our top priority. By limiting our practice to emergency care only, we are helping to control the spread of the virus. Emergency dental care is to address pain, swelling, and trauma. If you have an emergency, please call our office (508) 644-5200. Alternatively, I can be reached on my personal line at (508) 644-0699. You may call or text these numbers at any time, and I will do my best to respond promptly. I've also enabled a Web Chat feature on our website www.woodsidedental.com and you can submit a question there by clicking the link on the bottom right corner of the homepage.

We sincerely hope to be able to serve you all again by May 4th, but during these unprecedented times things change rapidly, and so I ask for your understanding in the event that we do have to remain restricted for longer.

We anticipate a heightened demand for services upon our full reopening and are prepared to do everything possible to accommodate our patients' needs in a timely manner.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.

I look forward to seeing you all when we return to work in our usual capacity the week of May 4th. Until then, remain safe and healthy.

Warmest regards,

Derek Cornetta, DDS
