Say Hello to Our Wonderful Dentist Near Freetown
Dr. Derek Cornetta
As a trusted dentist near Freetown, Dr. Cornetta is originally from North Attleboro. As the sole owner of Woodside Dental Care, he is pleased to be able to pursue a career that allows him the opportunity to build lasting connections with his patients as well as change the way individuals view visiting the dentist’s office.
His desire to become a dentist began in high school. Recognizing the kind of positive influence that his childhood dentist had on him, he knew he wanted to offer the same thing to individuals when he got older. This eventually led to Dr. Cornetta attending the University of Connecticut for his undergraduate degree. From there, he attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. During his time in dental school, he participated in Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honors Society.
After graduating, he went on to pursue continuing education courses, which ultimately led to him earning a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry – an achievement that only 6% of general dentists accomplish.
Also, in an effort to remain connected to his professional peers and stay up to date on the latest changes in the field of dentistry, he is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When he’s not busy building relationships and boosting smiles, you will find him spending time with his wife, Molly, and their twins, Max and Lily. Enjoying the outdoors, they often go to the park and visit the zoo as well as have fun at the beach, specifically, Cape Cod. In the wintertime, you’re likely to find them skiing in Franconia. Dr. Cornetta is also an avid Boston sports fan.
Dr. Allie Martin –
From Dartmouth, Dr. Martin was inspired to become a dentist by her own childhood dentist. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Carolina, she returned to Massachusetts to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University. Currently, she is a proud member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Martin is spending time with her boyfriend, Jake. In her free time, like loves to read, watch movies, travel, and check out pizza joints south of Boston!

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find the best place to get dental work done?
Are you looking for a dentist near Freetown who is in-network with your dental insurance plan? Is it important that you see someone who provides services for adults and children? Do you want a dental office that is conveniently located near your home or work? How essential is it for your dentist to offer flexible hours?
These are questions you must ask to determine where you will find the best dental work. Once you’ve established the criteria you need, you can begin to learn more about the interactions patients have with the dental team. Patient reviews are often the best place to look, as many dentists make them accessible through their website. You can always call, however, and schedule an appointment to see and experience a particular place for yourself!
Woodside Dental Care welcomes patients of all ages and provides early and late operating hours. The comprehensive care you will receive is top-of-the-line, and we offer multiple payment options to ensure affordability for all budgets.
How many dentists are in Freetown?
There are likely between 3 and 6 dentists in Freetown, MA. As one of the oldest communities in the U.S., it is growing annually but maintains its small-town charm. When choosing Woodside Dental Care to provide the oral healthcare you and your family need, you can be sure that each time you arrive, you’ll feel as if you’re at home. The care and attention, as well as the 35+ years of experience from our dental team, will help you walk away more confident in the health and well-being of your smile.
How much does it cost to get a tooth pulled without insurance?
It is believed that without dental insurance, the average tooth extraction can cost between $150 and $400. The range is dependent on a few factors, though:
- The number of teeth you need to have removed
- The location of the tooth or teeth that require extraction
- Whether you need dental sedation
- How you plan to pay for treatment
- The skill level of the dental professional performing the procedure
At Woodside Dental Care, we encourage all of our patients to let us file a claim if they have dental insurance. This way, we can help ensure the greatest reimbursement possible. Otherwise, dental financing is available to make treatment more affordable, or our in-house Woodside Dental Care Smile Plan for uninsured patients.
What do you do if you can’t afford a dentist?
If you don’t believe you can afford a dentist, do not decide that it’s better to forgo any kind of treatment. This will only lead to serious oral health problems down the road. Instead, ask about alternative payment options. If you have dental insurance, use it. If you don’t, ask about financing or an in-house membership plan.
Woodside Dental Care is pleased to offer CareCredit Financing that allows you to break up your total bill into monthly payments, all without surprise fees and with little to no-interest plans. Also, we have a Woodside Dental Care Smile Plan that makes it easy to pay one low fee for access to superior oral healthcare. There is no waiting period, no exclusions or restrictions, and no overwhelming or confusing repayment process.
